ZConverter Server Migration provides P2P/P2V/V2P/V2V rapid imaging migration technology. The ZConverter Server Migration process is performed in three steps: Imaging, Migration and Cleaing. Online migration technology allows you to perform a server migration in business hours.
Imaging
This is the first step to image an operating system and applications by ZConverter live migration technology.
You don't need to install any agent on the production server, thereby reducing the impact on production server services.
During live system imaging, you will see CPU utilisation only increase by 10%. Competitors average a 50% increase in CPU utilisation.
Migration
The image captured from the production server can be booted up on a dissimilar server or a virtual server.
Upon completing this step, a new server can be run straight away, however there are often unneccessary configurations migrated from the production server.
Cleaning
Cleaning is the final step in the migration process. A few configuration settings and drivers which are not used can be removed from the new server easily.
Upon completing this step, you will be able to run a new server with the same configurations as those of the production server.
