FAQ

The below method can be used to quickly and easily create a Call Ticket, with included Tasks and or Forms in the Call, all with just a single click of a link.

Steps are;

(1)    Create your Call Template as required (Take note of the Call Template ID as you will need to reference this in the URL below!)

(2)    Create your Form(s) thorugh the Manage Forms module.

(3)    Add your Tasks to your Call Template created in Step (1) (you can even use Tasks Templates to create the Tasks!).

(4)    Set the Task Due Date properties (for each added Task) by clicking the Calendar Icon at the very left of the Task in the List. This will set the relative Task Due Date based on when the Call is created.

(5)    If applicable, add your Form(s) created in Step (2) to the Call Template created in Step (1).

(6)    Create a URL Link (see examples below) and place somewhere covenient (for example in the 'Quick Links' page (The Quick Links page can be found by clicking the Quick Links menu button in the bottom left corner of the versaSRS application).

Alternatively, links of this nature (spawining a variety of diferent Call Tickets) could be placed on your intranet page, and can be a quick way for staff or other departments to raise a Call Ticket based around set needs, or to create a Call Ticket business process quickly and efficiently.

URL Example 1: http://<SERVER NAME>/versasrswebservices/services/system_service/system.asmx/LogNewCallByTemplate?intTemplateID=26&datReqDueDate=2009/10/01%2010:00:00%20AM

IF you follow the URL syntax, you will see that the above URL will create a new Call Ticket based on Template Id =26, including any Tasks &/or Forms that have been set against the Call Template, and will set call Due Date to 2009/10/01 10:00:00 AM (then also setting relevant Task Due Dates based on your Call and Task template definitions).

URL Example 2: http://<SERVER NAME>/versasrswebservices/services/system_service/system.asmx/LogNewCallByTemplate_DefaultDueDate?intTemplateID=26

The Example 2 URL syntax does not specify a due date therefore it will inherit the Queue defined Priority Start due date by default.
