FAQ
To install the versaSRS Tools Microsoft Windows Vista Gadget:
1.) Download the Vista Gadget (see http://www.versadev.com/versasrsvistagadgets.aspx)
2.) Unzip versaSRSWindowsServiceStatusGadget.gadget.zip and place the folder versaSRSWindowsServiceStatusGadget.gadget) within the following directory:
C:\Users\<domain username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets
3.) Right-click on the Gadget area (desktop) and select Add Gadgets...
4.) Select versaSRS Windows Service Status Gadget
To configure the versaSRS Tools Microsoft Windows Vista Gadget:
1.) Move over the gadget and click on the tools icon to display the gadget's settings window
2.) Set the versaSRS Base URL.
This will be the URL that you use to access your versaSRS application. You must also append /ntautologon.aspx?requrl= to this URL.
3.) Set the versaSRS Base Web Services URL.
This is the URL to the versaSRS Web services.
Tip: to test that this URL is correct, open a new Web browser window and browse to this URL. You should be presented with a message displaying the current version of the versaSRS Web services.
Click OK to apply the changes.
Click the gadget's refresh button (bottom right corner) to update the changes immediately.
Note: the gadget will update the versaSRS Windows services status every 2 minutes.
